We've been so impressed with how knowledgeable and helpful everyone at Shropshire fostering is. The emphasis is really on making sure it's the right fit, that everyone knows what to expect and how to make it work for both the potential foster family and the foster child. We feel very confident in and very well supported by everyone we've been in touch with.

Our son was placed with us through an IFA but was placed with them by Shropshire Council.

3 years down the line, our agency decided to give notice on our son with immediate effect, which devastated us. To be able to get him back home, I asked Shropshire Fostering whether I could move over to them. They bent over backwards to help us get our boy back and to get us approved ASAP.
He was back with us within 16 days because they pushed for temporary approval .

The assigned SW who got us ready for Panel was absolutely wonderful, and we are still in touch now. I have got the most supportive SSW, and our son's SW is a very dedicated young woman who will go the extra mile every time.

Although we live nowhere near Shropshire, we are extremely well supported, and I can quite honestly say that it was the BEST decision we made to follow our hearts and to join Shropshire Fostering.

I started fostering our son with an IFA but he was placed by Shropshire LA. After 3 years the IFA decided to give notice on our son and as we did not want to lose him we asked Shropshire whether we could move over to them.
They bent over backwards to help us join their team and could not have been more helpful in enabling our move.
We have now been with Shropshire for almost a year and feel lucky to work with two amazing social workers, our son's and our own.
We are well supported and our son is thriving, which after all is what we all want for him.
They have been understanding and very approachable and given our son the permanency he so desperately wanted and needed.
