Allan has just repaired the cornice and replaced the door glass of an antique Danish bookcase for me. He has also worked out the jigsaw puzzle of a smashed antique workbox and beautifully restored it as well as an old side table and the lock of a sideboard. I am absolutely delighted with his work.
The leg split on one of our Edwardian dining chairs - it had been repaired before we got it and the repair failed. Allan replaced part of the leg and sorted out a few other things. It was a beautiful job, it looks very secure, and a very fair price. Would use Strawberry Hill Furniture Restoration again without hesitating.
Allan has just carried out repairs to my 1886 Victorian copy of a Queen Anne lowboy. He is a true artist and the job was completed quickly and not just efficiently but perfectly, I simply can't see the join! Very highly recommended.
I contacted Allan to give me a quotation to repair my dining table. Allan was great - he gave me the quotation, picked up the table and returned it as good as new and sealed so it canʼt get damaged again. All on time and budget! He can fix anything - a master craftsman - just give him a call !
I used Alan the first time some 4 years ago, I chose him on the off chance and couldnʼt have choosen better for a table top restoration due to water damage. The result was outstanding. He has just restored a very battered 1820 bow front chest that i bought off eBay to PERFECTION - a transformation that maintains the chests integrity and character but would stand proud in any Kings Road antique store. He is truely a VERY talented and exceptionally skilled man - and very pleasant to add. I too can not reccomend him enough.
Alan Fell was recommended to us to repair and restore a large, really battered and split, but loved, oak refectory table. He did a superb job, artfully inserting a central fillet of aged oak into the table top so that it appears to be part of the grain. The table was returned to us utterly transformed and beautifully polished. Subsequently Alan has restored a small Art Deco table, an elm Victorian desk and a late Georgian linen press for us. He even worked his magic on a rusty and wobbly fender which became a smart black and brass addition to our fireplace. We canʼt recommend him highly enough.
