The staff are all friendly and helpful. My room, the breakfast room and the bar are all good. There is parking for about 20 cars at the hotel, with public car parks close by if there is no room.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn Preston. A special thanks to Laura Lazzano, who was extremely welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. She truly made our experience exceptional.

We booked a room for a single night as we were travelling for a graduation ceremony. From the moment we arrived, staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Big shout out to Laura on reception who went above and beyond to help us, as we’d arrived early and needed to get changed. She was able to sort a room out for us and made us very welcome.
The room was very comfortable and will equipped for the price.
The hotel is ideally located for our visit to the University.
Parking is limited but there were a few spaces when we arrived.
Breakfast was a good hotel breakfast, plenty of choice snd a mix of hot and cold food. Staff here were also friendly and cleared plates quickly.
A very good stay and very much recommended!

Stayed for one night on the way to Scotland. Reviews of the available nearby budget hotels with restaurants were mixed and most had no air-con. Staying city-centre usually means you can’t open windows, or if you do there is considerable traffic noise. As the Holiday Inn ticked that box we chose it and were pleased with our decision. Hotel is very clean, all staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Bed comfort was average but matched the price level. Had a quick evening meal which was again fine for the price point of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, great choice, fresh and cooked selection well cooked considering its buffet style. Overall excellent value. Yes parking is limited but we managed to get into the spaces out front, using the adjacent multi story would not have needed a problem as you can drop bags and guests at the hotel entrance first.

Had a great stay at the Holding Inn in Preston. Special thanks to Mohammed El Kady — very hardworking, always welcoming and friendly with guests. He made us feel really comfortable. His English and Arabic skills are excellent, which really helps with international visitors. A real asset to the hotel!

Lovely clean room with huge bed. Good assortment of tea, coffee etc. Nice bathroom toiletries. Staff were fantastic. Especially our lovely waitress. Manager was very attentive. Evening meal was very nice but breakfast was even better - a fantastic choice of hot and cold options. All in all a very pleasant stay. Have never stayed at a Holiday Inn before but I definitely will again!

We spent two nights in this hotel in one week, one as a stop over on a coach trip to Scotland, one on the return journey.
On the whole the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent, despite the captivating view of what seemed to be a bus depot.
Both breakfasts were fine with a wide choice of options, however, the evening meal left much to be desired. We had ordered chicken in a sauce with fresh vegetables. The chicken was small and very thin and dry, so much so that the edges had turned crispy, its only saving grace was the delicious sauce disguising the overcooked chicken. to be generous, this may have been the chef's intention but this was ill advised.
In addition the seemingly 'al dente' vegetables were very dry without any kind of dressing and insufficient sauce to make those palatable.

The evening meal on our second stay was of similar quality to the first. We had ordered fish in breadcrumbs with fries and mushy peas. Again, very disappointing! The breadcrumb coating was so hard that a sawing action was required to break through to a very dry (rather small) portion of fish, the fries were exactly as you would expect frozen from a supermarket, not tasty or crispy, the 'mushy peas' were very runny and more than 50% liquid, more like a low quality Pea Puree.

On both occasions we had endured an extremely long and tiring coach trip of several hours just wanting to eat and retire wishing to avoid any confrontation and being tired to complain at the time we just left the restaurant dissatisfied.

Is this the standard that all Holiday Inns work to?

We had a much better experience in this hotel than we did in our only previous visit. We were fortunate to park in the small car park at the front of the hotel, but there is also a nearby car park at the bus station.
The room was clean and worked well for us. The bar was good. All the staff were pleasant. We had a good stay.

We stayed here last weekend for a night. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Preston city centre. The room was well maintained and crystal clean. The staff we encountered during our stay were all really nice particularly Ash on the bar. The bar is a lovely area to relax in whether you are on business and need to work, you want to lounge back in front of the TV or play a bit of pool. All in all great stay

Fantastic stay here recently. From arrival until we left, every staff member we came in contact with were fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. All up for a chat including the housekeeping staff. It was really refreshing.
Free parking, able to check in early and close to everything in the centre. The beds were comfortable and room was clean and presentable. Only downside is the bathrooms definitely need renovating in this hotel. The rooms and communal areas are lovely though.
We would happily stay in this Holiday Inn again. The staff here deserve all the recognition.

Had a 1 night stop over, on a coach holiday travelling up to Scotland. For that reason it has 5 * for location. The room was superb, spotlessly clean, the beds were so comfy, and lovely toiletries, quality towels etc. The whole place is clean and has a great ambience. Dinner was great and so was the breakfast. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. What an absolute delight. We will be looking to use this company again as we have never stayed in one before ***** highly recommended 👍

Perfect hotel to explore the area lovely staff lovely food the place is a credit to the name! I’m here for one night with work but would happily stay longer it’s clearly had a good lick of paint and an update which is done brilliantly the only remnants left of the old hotel is the inside of the lift which probably costs a fortune to replace so don’t bother!
Go and explore Preston is soooooo much nicer than I thought!!

Very central- directly opposite the bus station. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very good and a good range of options on the menu. Breakfast was buffet style but refreshed regularly. Again a good choice.
