Nice clean room and friendly staff. Most staff follow the Covid rules, however one staff member delivered a heater to my room with the mask around her neck. Also, the desert part of my meal on the second night of my stay was delivered uncovered. It's a long journey from the kitchen including a ride on the lift, so who knows what could have happened to it. This and the current worsening Covid situation caused me to cut short my intended 4 nights stay. If only some of the staff are following the Covid rules its just not worth the risk. Also the chicken & mushroom pie only contained 4 possibly 5 small pieces of chicken and not the 'filled with chicken' as promised on the menu.

Really nice and clean rooms stayed there for about a month and the friendly staff were really helpful and accomodating with any issues I had during my stay.

The hotel itself is very clean but parking is extremely limited and I had to park across the road at the multi-story car park above the bus terminal. Food was good and staff were helpful but seemed a little rushed as there was only two of them.

Great base for visiting Blackpool that's only half an hour away. Really friendly staff. Nice and clean. Comfy beds.

We were put there by the RAC when the clutch went in our car. We didn't arrive until around 2am and the staff were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us, making sure we had plenty of tea/coffee and even giving us biscuits for the girls in case they were hungry. I couldn't praise them highly enough

Looks old and in need of an update from the outside, inside much better! Check in was easy very knowledgeable young lady on the desk, room were great, clean and fresh, bath room same. Food was excellent as was the bar staff, will definitely stay again.

With the latest restrictions obviously some things have changed but with clean rooms, super friendly staff and an exceptional breakfast; what more could a traveller want?

Hotel stays can be rather soulless at the moment and sometimes you feel you'd rather have not bothered. Not so here, where there is a warm welcome and a genuine desire to ensure the guests enjoys their stay.

As I've visited a few times before, its easy to see it isn't quite the same as it was, but with some thoughtful touches and the bonus of a freshly cooked room service breakfast, it is still a nice place to be.

Well done Holiday Inn Preston, and hope you're back to normal again soon.

The hotel is modern, clean, has free parking and is in a great location.
Rooms are spacious and have everything in there for the business traveller.

It was great to see all the staff adhering to COVID guidelines and I felt reassured they had taken the necessary steps to make the hotel a safe place to stay and had obviously worked hard to achieve this.

My wife, son and parents all had a wonderful stay here when visiting Blackpool. My bedroom was an accessible room as we had our 3 year old son with us and there was a pull-out bed for him which was perfect. Given that it was an accessible room it was smartly designed to feel although you were just in an Executive bedroom.
The size was great and spotlessly clean. My parents just had a standard double bedroom which was slightly small but it served a purpose for sleeping and showering. Exactly what they needed and well appointed and clean like my bedroom.

We didn't eat in the Restaurant other than breakfast and only had a few drinks from the bar. The service we received was as expected.

Parking is very limited - there's a multi-story across the road though.

I'd definitely return.

We live locally, and like to treat ourselves once in a while :-) Lovely room on the 7th floor. We appreciated being able to open the window!!. Super staff , best breakfast we have had. Whats not to like. ! Looking forward to our next stay ..

Having just returned home to N. Ireland after staying there from 7th to 10th Sept. I have the following to report. Was greeted on the 1st floor were the reception is located. I was welcomed by Georgia who also welcomed me as a IGH member. Her induction into the hotel was excellent. She was also had an excellent response to some technically diffulties to our room and immediately rectifying them whilst not inconvenience us in anyway. She also handled our checkout efficiently and answering my questions on my next stay regarding a room with a walk in shower. The receptionist Dina was excellent and had a good company of local knowledge and directions as regards to restaurants and shops. Dina had written a list of restaurants and the type of cuisine they had to offer. They were all excellent choices. Katherine we meant was also excellent and was able to give us advice with the university and places to stay for our grand daughter who we brought over to start her course next week. These girls are definitely an asset to the hotel. Lastly Lee the waiter in the bar to which we frequently was very friendly and very efficient in his job. He gave us place of interest to visit as far a field as Halifax to see where the series Gentleman Jack was filmed and also Hadrian's Wall. He provided us with post codes of these attraction to make them easier to find. We ate in the restaurant along with our grand daughter to which the food and service was excellent. Only drawback was the limited parking spaces but the staff direct you to a reasonably price car park. There are 2 disables spaces in the hotel which I was able to use with my card but I observed on 2voccasion that a large pickup truck use one of the spaces. I hope the management would be able to resolve this problem should another disabled person would wish to use it. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when we return to visit our grand daughter at a later date.

Stayed here for one night following surgery in a nearby hospital. Staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate, small confusion with room service but staff were very quick to sort out. Food was incredible 5 star restaurant quality!

Stayed for one night to visit a friend. Staff very friendly from start to finish. Anything I asked for, they were very efficient and did not make anything seem like effort. The bed was massive and comfortable. Could not fault anything. Best hotel stay I've had in a very long time.

The building does look a little old on the outside. I’m sure I stayed at this hotel when it was a post house a long time ago.

Once inside the hotel is modern and clean. Same can be said for the room which had a comfortable bed. Good nights sleep.

Breakfast was superb with the waitresses being super helpful and friendly.
Poached eggs on request and fresh coffee.

WiFi fast enough and the mini gym more than adequate.

Walking distance from town centre.

Only downside is parking is very limited. I had to park in multi story across the road.

Would not hesitate to return if in the area.

Excellent location in city centre . Next to the bus station. Free parking spaces but only about 20. Huge multi storey next door which is payable . Air con and heating . 32 inch tv with lots of channels . Large windows, double glazed . Bath and shower and smellies provided . Kettle mugs tea coffees etc . Ironing board and iron in wardrobe. Lots of good lighting inc lamps . Receptionist all helpful and efficient . 2 lifts .

Food is quite expensive.

I stay in many IHG hotels and the service is normally very good but in this hotel it was excellent so well done to the management and staff. The room I was in was a newly refurbished and room was great and bed very comfy. The lounge and bar areas also look newly refurbished and are bright airy and colourful. Breakfast was very good, parking easy and I had a great nights sleep.

Had a terrible two days of travel issues and lost bank cards etc and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. What a great experience from a disastrous start to a journey

The renovations are now complete and the hotel is like new. It is a 15 minute or £6.50 taxi ride from the train station. It is slap bang in front of the architecturally important bus station. It is handy for the shops and restaurants, although I do feel the area is a little desolate at night.

Check in was efficient and helpful. My room was very comfortable: small but perfectly formed. The new chairs are very good to sit on. The bed was made for sweet dreams. There is a large, flat screen TV (although, annoyingly, no ITV 3 for some reason - have they not retuned?) There is an iron and board, as well as tea/coffee making facilities and a well lit desk to work at. I had a modern and spotlessly clean bathroom.

The staff in the bar and restaurant are really good ambassadors for the hotel: I was actually welcomed back, which makes such a difference! I think they may be a mother and son team - keep up the good work... Breakfast was well presented and well cooked (although the fruit salad could be a bit more varied in content and the coffee stronger).

I paid just under £80 for the night, which seemed very reasonable for B&B.

A colleague of mine booked an event room here for a session I was running. I haven't been here before despite living locally for many years. I didn't really know what to expect.

Arrived and checked in ok, the event manager greeted us and showed us to the room (Ribblesdale) and it was all really well organised with the usual pads and pens, flip chart etc. VGA connectivity for my laptop for use with their projector, very tidy for wires. There were 10 of us in total, the room is ok for probably up to 15 comfortably with tables and chairs. There is AC.

I gather the cost was around £30 / head, this included bottled water for the tables, unlimited tea/coffee flask refills plus use of their coffee machine in the lobby area. Pastries in the morning, sweets on the table, buffet lunch which was sandwiches, chips, salad, quiche etc., dessert. They cater for vegetarians and vegans and one of our party ordered from the regular menu in the morning and it was prepped ready for lunch so there was no time issue with serving up. In the afternoon we had a nice treat of jam and fresh cream scones with something different served without asking that was vegan friendly.

The bar area and restaurant were very smart and clean and the toilets spotless. All the staff were lovely, in particular Amanda who looked after us for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Be aware parking is very limited and what little there is very squashy. You can park at the nearby bus station.

Obviously I can't comment on the accommodation but, for my small event, everything was excellent and highly recommended.
