Whittington Music Festival 2014
30th March 2014

Whittington Music Festival is only a few weeks away! Have you got your tickets?

In particular, if you are aged between 8 and 25 you can get in free to all concerts (except Concert 1), but you need to reserve your free tickets as they are limited to 50 a night. Ring 01691 657986 asap.

After last year’s Brahms triumph, this year we have a Schubert Fest with four successive nights of the great Romantic’s most memorable chamber works, performed by nine brilliant international musicians.
It runs from May 6-9: the 6th is at Holy Trinity Oswestry (£16), 7th-9th at St John the Baptist Whittington (£12 a night or £30 for all three). Book online or buy tickets at Rowanthorn, Woodhead Estates or Mile End Visitors’ Centre.
Anybody aged 8-25 qualifies for free entry at any of the Whittington concerts.

Full details can be found on the website, including a lunchtime concert at Whittington on May 9th marking the WW1 Centenary, in conjunction with Oswestry’s Derwen College and London’s Wigmore Hall.

It really is a Festival not to be missed! Those who know what to expect from Schubert can be assured of world-class performances; those who have little experience of music of this kind will be bowled over by it and enchanted by our delightfully personable artists.
