What is a Steiner School?

KinoKulture are showing a film on Tuesday 17th March at 7:30pm, about Steiner Waldorf Schools.

In 2007 the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship had a film commissioned to look across the spectrum of Steiner Schools throughout the UK & Ireland to give a balanced overview of Steiner education.

In an ever-changing world, individuals are increasingly called upon to respond with initiative, flexibility and responsibility. For over ninety years students educated in Steiner Waldorf schools have been proving themselves to be resourceful and creative individuals, not only equipped to meet life’s challenges but to be world citizens supported by an education which enhances mutual understanding and global co-operation in practice.

Ingrid Knowles, a former student, mother and teacher at various Steiner schools will show this film and lead the discussion afterwards in an exploration into the possibility of starting a Steiner school in Oswestry.

It is hoped to have other people with experience of Steiner schools present.

Film run time: 20 mins + discussion

This event is free but contributions towards the cost of putting it on are most welcome.
