The Willow Gallery - Workshops For All

Beginners Willow Basket Weaving Workshop
1st September 10am - 4pm
Willow weaving session with professional basket makers Helen & Kalvin Stanley.
This workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to learn a variety of willow weaving
techniques from practitioners with over 15 years of basket weaving and teaching experience. Create your own unique willow basket under their expert guidance.
All welcome
£38 including all materials

Painting with Wool
Saturday 29th September 11-5pm
Create your own unique felt landscape artwork with expert guidance of professional felt artist Sue Mulcock.
Bring a favourite photograph or picture to inspire your experimentation with colour and texture in landscape.
Beginners and improvers

All welcome. Please bring an apron and washing up gloves.

Granny Willow Story Time: 'A Very Big Problem'

This story time is held in the Dunbabin room, the session includes exciting and creative activities; Storytelling, Model Making, Painting, Play Acting & Story Writting, A great activity for children!

Young Artists Group

With Anthony Smith (Professional Artist, Enhance CRB Checked)
Explore the exciting world of art and art history with other like minded young artists and the expert guidance of a professional artist.
Experiment with sculpture, printing, painting and photographic techniques.
Suitable for 11-18 year olds.
£6 per session. £30 for 6 weeks.

Art History Evenings
With International Museum Educator Felicity Woods
Starting Tuesday 25th September for 6 weeks
6-8pm
A thematic approach to great works of art. Each evening includes a talk about Iconic works of art followed by discussion and exploration of the Willow Gallery’s current collections.
Themes including: Symbolism, mythology and changing concepts of beauty.
Special day city visits will also be arranged to explore the collections of several well known galleries.
