There are many happy faces smiling at you in Qube Gallery right now. Morda Primary School’s exhibition ‘Reflections’ is currently on display in the gallery and has over 100 self-portraits painted by the pupils at the school. Their work has been inspired by workshops led by portrait artist Peter Edwards and has resulted in a colourful exhibition.

“This exhibition is full of colour and we are pleased to host Morda Primary School here. Visitors to the gallery can also see portrait work by Peter Edwards on display” said Charlotte, Jackson, Arts Co-ordinator at Qube. Mr Edwards is a local artist and has previously hosted an exhibition at Qube of his own work.

The paintings on display are a result of a series of workshops where Mr Edwards went into Morda Primary School to give the children some portrait painting tips and plenty of ideas.
