Come along and support Oswestry’s Charity Market where you can find out what activities there are running in Oswestry. The Market will take place on the Bailey Head on Friday 8th June. This popular event supports local charities and community groups in helping them promote their services and recruit new volunteers so they can continue the important work that they do.

Local people can attend this free event and find out what local activities and community groups operate locally. There will also be the opportunity to discuss volunteering and browse the varied number of roles there are on offer. We will be joined on the day by Oswestry Men in Sheds, The Foodbank, The MS Society, Shropshire Hearing and Sight Loss Group and many more! During the event the charities and community groups will be offering advice and guidance about their services and there will also be goods on sale to help them fundraise.

Qube’s BBO Volunteering Officer, Kim Thompson-Lawrence who has organised the Charity Market said: “We’re expecting a busy day, the event is always well attended. People are keen to come along and give their support and there’s always the chance of a bargain to be had! Local charities really benefit from the exposure and we’re grateful to Oswestry Town Council for helping us stage the event each year.”

The Oswestry Charity Market runs twice a year with the second marking booked for Friday 7th September.

The Charity Market takes place on Friday 8th June at the Bailey Head, Oswestry from 9am to 2pm. For more information contact Qube on 01691 656882.
