Paintings by Keith Maiden – Exhibition now on at Qube Gallery, Oswestry

The latest exhibition at Qube is now open and features the work of Shrewsbury based artist Keith Maiden. Visitors to the gallery can see Keith’s work at the gallery until 10 June.

Keith was the People’s Choice winner of the Qube Open Art Competition in 2012 and his work features fascinating portraits. His powerful depictions are produced from an unusual mix of acrylic, ink, graphite and enamel paint.

As part of the exhibition, Keith will be in the gallery every Wednesday during the exhibition working on his latest artwork, a great opportunity to meet the artist and chat with him about his work whilst he develops his latest portrait.

Keith has been painting for two years and has developed a very unique style through close observation of the male and female form and has exhibited his work all over Shropshire and the surrounding counties. This will be his first solo exhibition.

“We’re really pleased to have Keith’s work in the gallery and this is proving to be a very popular exhibition with visitors. Do come along and see the work of this talented local artist” said Charlotte Jackson, Arts Co-ordinator at Qube.
