Oswestry law firm Lanyon Bowdler has been sponsoring Shropshire Music Trust and its talent for many years, and once again it is proud to show its support by helping to bring outstanding live music to Oswestry and the surrounding areas.

In early 2012, the wonderful music of the world’s most recorded orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra will be delighting audiences with its usual vibrancy and excellence, joined by successful violin soloist Tasmin Little.  The performance will be taking place at the Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry at 7.30pm on Saturday 25 February.  Shropshire Music Trust promise an "attractive and exciting programme", and as previously acknowledged in the New York Times, the orchestra has a "formidable talent".  Having performed in more countries than any other orchestra in the world, there is no doubt they will put on a good show!

Meanwhile in nearby Shrewsbury, the traditional Ex Cathedra "Christmas by Candlelight" concert will once again be held at St Chad's Church on Tuesday 6 December at 7.30 pm.  This ever popular and unique event with readings is always very well attended, and combines sequences of music from across the centuries with seasonal favourites.  As the performance is lit only by candlelight, it makes for a very special atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by.

Early booking is recommended for both events and booking information can be found at www.shropshiremusictrust.com.
