OSWESTRY BUSINESS EXPO OFFERS VITAL COMMERCIAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL BUSINESSES

Local businesses will be able to access a wide range of FREE business advice and guidance from some of the area’s leading B-2-B firms when the Oswestry Business Expo 2011 is staged in Oswestry next month.

The FREE to attend Oswestry Business Expo will be held at the Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry, on Thursday 20th October between 6pm – 9pm.

As well as offering a relaxed business information exchange and networking opportunity, a host of leading local business service providers will be exhibiting in the hotel’s Paddock Suite.

The event also features 5 short, highly informative knowledge-sharing seminars. Each bite-size seminar will offer attendees top tips on how to trade through the increasingly challenging economic conditions facing many SMEs and micro businesses.

Minimising risk and maximising opportunities are key themes in each seminar, which include Debt Management, Data Risk Management, Time Management, Accounting & HMRC and IT – Now & The Future.

The event is brought to Oswestry by two local companies, Vital Support Consultancy Ltd and Commercial Networks Ltd. Vital Support Consultancy Director, Megan Jones, said: “The Expo is a short but highly focused business event designed specifically to help local business owners better understand the threats and opportunities that exist in the current climate.”

“For example, given the fragile state of the nation’s finances, HMRC is on a well documented mission to extract as much revenue from the UKs business community as possible. Every business and small trader needs to be fully aware of their vulnerabilities and what measures can be put in place to successfully manage their tax liabilities and penalties to ensure business survival and growth.

“There is a growing imperative amongst the local business community to support, collaborate with and wherever possible, procure from other local suppliers. To that end, this important event is aimed at facilitating and strengthening local supplier relationships. That can only be good for the economic health and wellbeing of Oswestry’s business community.”

The FREE to attend Expo is designed to be an informal drop in networking event after work so pre-booking is not necessary.

Anyone interested in guaranteeing a place at any of the seminars however, can register in advance if they wish by contacting Vital Support Consultancy Ltd on 01691 684011 or email rhian@vitalsupportconsultancy.co.uk to secure a reserved seat as space is limited.

There will be a major announcement of interest to the local business community from NWN Media Ltd, publishers of the Oswestry & Border Counties Advertizer, in the Paddock Suite at 6:30pm. You can follow the Oswestry Business Expo on Twitter at www.twitter.com/OzBizExpo
