Oswestry Market is one of over 300 markets taking part in the national Love Your Local Market campaign inspired by Mary Portas’ report on the future of our High Streets.
Love Your Local Market in Oswestry takes place between 23rd and 29th June 2012 & is being backed by Central Government. The campaign aims to attract new market traders & also aims to highlight the importance that markets play in the heart of the local community, not only for retail but they are a valuable community asset and, in many places, provide the focal point of our town centres.
To support the national campaign here Oswestry Town Council will be offering stalls for a “tenner” to encourage potential traders to use the market. Stalls are also available for local charities or for other organisations such as the library and various other local groups. There will be plenty of entertainment, face painting, giveaways and competitions to help celebrate the occasion.
