Ok, here we go - my Top Wishes for Oswestry in 2010:

  1. The New Oswestry Market launched in Easter 2010

Incorporating the new Sir Terence Conran/Tara Bernerd redesign of the Powis Hall interior; banners across the town and Road Signs down to the bypass.

The new Outdoor Market to include a mix of Food and non-Food stalls.  The existing Farmers' Market either incorporated into the existing market with one Super Market once a Quarter with even more artisan stalls.
  2. Trains moving at Oswestry Railway Station in Easter 2010

That the intended half mile stretch of running line from Oswestry Station will be used to run tourist trains from Easter 2010.  Can't wait.  And the railway groups along with Cross Border Tourism are to be congratulated for putting the project back on track.
  3. Decision that no new Supermarket is required

Given the new Planning Rules and their demand for a comprehensive Impact Assessment there is a strong likelyhood the decision will go against an additional supermarket.
  4. The Oswestry Festival of the Word aka OsLitFest is enjoyed!

At this OsLitFest which will celebrate and showcase local talent - written, spoken and sung - the intention is to participate and enjoy the events: from author visits and talks, to exhibitions, poetry slams, writing competitions, literary exhibitions, plays, folk singing, walks...and lots more. :)
  5. The 4th Oswestry Food & Drink Festival is a great success

Hard to believe it's the fourth year, but let's make this one a great one!

Well those are my wishes - what are yours?  Add your wishes in the comments below.  Thank you.
