Recent publicity highlighting the changes to the funding process for clinical negligence claims may have led people to believe that victims of medical negligence could be denied access to justice. Leading clinical negligence solicitor Kay Kelly urges people not to be deterred from bringing a claim.

Kay explains “In most cases, despite the changes, it will still be worthwhile bringing a claim. We are able to provide clients with a choice as to how their claim is funded. In many cases we are able to offer a ‘No Win No Fee’ agreement with a level of certainty in relation to the costs payable if a case is successful.“

Kay, of Oswestry law firm Lanyon Bowdler leads a team of six specialist clinical negligence solicitors, two in-house nurses and a GP.
