An afternoon of chilled tunes and lush beats marks the return this weekend (May 14) of Oswestry’s 2017 season of music events in Cae Glas Park.

Due to popular demand, ‘Chill in the Park’ returns for a fourth year to kick off the growing programme of free, family oriented events hosted by Oswestry Town Council.

Organiser, Neil Phillips of Eclectic, said: “Oswestry’s bandstand events through the summer bring a unique atmosphere to the park that people clearly enjoy, especially when the sun is shining. Chill in the Park is about creating a relaxing ambience with a diverse range of music from all eras and from around the globe.”

Neil will be taking to the turntables as well as Jilly Hartshorn and Ben Williams of The Vinylistas and other guest DJs.

Visitors can bring a picnic and make a long afternoon of it with the park’s amenities close to hand, including children’s play area, crazy golf, tennis, bowls and refreshment stands.

Forthcoming music dates include: Disco Day (May 21), Ifton Brass (June 4), Bulgarian Folklore Club (June 18), plus a host of other events through July and August.
