Calling Shropshire Model Railway Enthusiasts
26th October 2011

Details are just emerging of a unique opportunity for all model railway enthusiasts.

On Saturday 26th November, The Tedsmore Estate is to open its model railway system for public viewing in aid of charity. This very extensive working display is probably the largest ‘O’ gauge layout in England.

The system is housed in a dedicated building on the estate near West Felton and has been collected by proprietor Rotarian Robert Parker who said: “I am delighted to hold this open day in aid of the good causes supported by the Rotary Club of Oswestry. I am currently working with members of the Club, who will support the Estate on the day, to finalise details including a booking system so that all enthusiasts, young and old, will be able to view the system in comfort.

There will be a charge of £3 for adults and £2 for children and full information will be made available in a couple of weeks’ time. In the meantime I hope everybody interested will put the date in their diary”.
