Art Attack!
1st June 2016

Its that time of year again, when North Shropshire overflows with beautiful artwork.

The 2016 Border Visual Arts Festival starts on Friday with the opening of its Open Studios Exhibition at the Willow Gallery from 6:30pm – 9:00pm. And then the glorious Oswestry & borders Open Studios’s trail  takes place over the 11th and 12th and 18th and 19th June.  This is a splendid opportunity to see the quite amazingly talented artists in Oswestry and the Marches, visit their studios or see their works in the Open House weekends.   Why not spend time on one of those weekends on an ‘Art Tour’  Drive through glorious countryside, visit beautiful art in eclectic studios, visit the Open Houses and end up in the Willow Gallery for the exhibition and perhaps a celebratory special Tea?

A crow’s flight away and Ellesmere college is hosting the National Art Exhibition, with a Patron’s Evening on Wednesday 1st June at 7:30 with over 80 professional artists and sculptors and over 300 pieces.  Their festival lasts until 5th of June and has some very special artwork (no spoilers – visit their site to find out more).
