The Annual General Meeting of the Oswestry & Border History & Archaeology Group will take place in the Memorial Hall on Friday 14 March 7.30pm. Following the short business part of the meeting, John Pryce-Jones will give his Presidential Address on Continuity and change in Oswestry’s history.

This talk will look at a wide range of different aspects of that history including the pattern of streets, the market, the castle and parish church, our location on the border, changes in population and mobility, trades and occupations – from pre-Norman times to the present day.

New members and visitors are very welcome.

Full details of the new season of lectures are available at Oswestry Library and on the Programme Web Page at www.pastcaring.com/OBHAG which also features a gallery of photographs of some of the group’s excursions and other items of interest.

For full details of membership or to get involved in the group’s activities, please contact the Membership Secretary on 01691 690184.
