Travel ideas - and some advice from Sarah Buckley!

Ok, so it's the holiday season and, if you're like us, you leave booking a holiday to the last minute. To get the best deals nowadays it's often a good idea to book as early as possible. But don't despair if you haven't booked yet, our Norwich travel agents advise that there are still some deals around.

Although it is tempting to book your holiday from Norwich on the web, it is extremely time consuming and if you get it wrong, you're not covered. It's not unknown for people to book the wrong year, for example!

This is why it's good to use a local travel agent - they do all the leg work, they can deal with any problems and if you use one of our recommended Norwich travel agents, they are ABTA approved.

This is especially important when things go wrong, as Mr & Mrs Emmett found out when their airline collapsed:

"Your [Global Traval Lounge] help was invaluable in resort when you contacted us and re-arranged our flights home following the collapse of the airline. Other travellers were left stranded, you looked after us from start to finish."

If you're interested in cruises then you need to speak to Anglia Global Cruising, the cruise specialists, and if you've ever wondered about taking a cruise but aren't sure about it, Anglia Global Cruising can arrange to take you for a tour of a ship.

Travel Centre Norwich also have some exclusive offers for cruises in 2010 and 2011, with free pick up from your front door, free pre-departure party, free onboard credits, free bottle of wine per person, and a Travel Centre rep on board with you.

Global Travel Lounge offer a huge range of holidays from Norwich and have just opened a new travel agents in Wymondham, having just taken over what was Harvey World Travel.

All our travel agents come highly recommended, and we are pleased to welcome Thorpe Travel, who will be joining us within the next few days, thus closing our Norwich travel agents category (unless someone exceptional comes along and twists our arm!)

By the way, Sarah Buckley of the Globe Travel Clinic, which offers a whole range of travel advice and vaccinations, says that if you're travelling abroad, you must get one of her diarrhoea packs to take with you so that you don't waste your holiday in the loo - thanks Sarah for that tip.
