It's amazing what gems are tucked away around Norwich - as you wander through the Norwich Lanes, there are lovely cafes tucked away, or little gems such as Sonkai, possibly the tiniest jewellers in Norwich, yet a jewellery shop with a big heart - unlike some of their bigger competitors they have an on-site qualified goldsmith who can chat to you and understand what you want in order to create, mend or update your jewellery.
Then I often stop off at Applewoods in the Mall to wander through their gift shop admiring their ranges of organic skin care, their Yankee candles and their bits and bobs for kids - my son loved his bath soaps from Applewoods. It is worthwhile having a wander around the shop as they stock so many different items.
Then I pop next door to one of my favourite cafes in Norwich, the Tea Junction, for a cup of their Norfolk Blend tea (blended with our hard water in mind) and to stock up on my favourite coffee beans.
They have such a huge range of coffee beans, I buy one pack of my favourite and always buy one of their trial packs of a different flavour which I haven't tried before.
I'm gradually working my way through but there are so many to choose from.
