Well, I've been "reminded" by Sara that I haven't blogged yet, so her goes.....
I'm the "geeky" one in our family and before the bestof worked for one of the numerous IT companies in London. Favourite websites after thebestof (of course) would be The Reg (http://www.theregister.co.uk) and of course Fake Steve's blog written by Daniel Lyons (http://fakesteve.blogspot.com).
We have a 9 year old son, so I am also more fluent than I would like to be about things like the Power Rangers, Bey Blade and more recently Crazy Bones!
One of the advantages of working for ourselves with the bestof is that we get to choose which type of businesses and people we work with. For example last months New Business Award Winner were Gary and Karen Watson who own the Hangman Curtain and Blinds. Gary, Karen and Maddie of Illusions are passionate about their businesses and are exactly the kind of people who deserve to be promoted to the wider public.
