For all you runners out there, keep the 27th November free.

This is the date  set for the 2011 Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon and it looks as the race will reach its 3000 capacity once again!

Online entry is already open.

Since 2006, numbers have more than tripled and having taken 3000 entries for the 2010 race, organisers are sure that this year will be another record-breaking success!

Hugh McGill, Race Director, from City of Norwich Athletic Club, said, “We were delighted to reach our target number of entrants last year and we have high hopes that it can happen once again."

Mark Curtis, partner at Larking Gowen, commented, “We are very proud to be part of such an established event which attracts thousands of runners and spectators year on year. The race has also raised more than £140,000 for local charities in the last four years, which is a fantastic achievement.

“The 2010 race saw 77 percent of entrants unattached to running clubs, which shows just how much appeal the race also has within the community.”

The race will take place at the Norfolk Showground. For full details on how to enter, please visit the race website at www.cityofnorwichhalfmarathon.com
