Charity Duck Race on Bank Holiday Monday
6th August 2011
... Comments

Break, the Nofolk children's charity, is holding a plastic duck race on Monday 29th August, from St George's Bridge to Fye Bridge, ending at the Ribs of Beef pub.

Some of the ducks are being purchased by businesses for £100 each and decorated by them. Break are hoping that as many as 5,000 ducks will be released as well as the corporate ones.

You can help the charity and have some fun at the same time by purchasing a raffle ticket for £2 from the Break charity shops (Unthank Road, Drayton Road, Dereham Road, Colman Road and Taverham or direct from BREAK)

But here's a thought - how do you catch all the ducks at the end? 5,000 of them? Well, we're reliably informed that the Ribs of Beef football team will be on hand. Hope they don't let any past the net!

All the ducks will be displayed in the Ribs of Beef until they are auctioned off on Thursday September 8th.
