Splat Messy play classes are 1 hour long classes for babies and toddlers where they are are given the freedom to move around at their own pace and explore the 7 structured activities prepared. All the activities are specially created and inspired by different themes such as seasons, educational themes, special holiday observations in the year and their favourite characters.

The classes do not solely focus on producing an end product, but gives the children an opportunity to learn that its ok to be messy whilst building, imagining, experience, investigate, explore, create, observe, and use other senses. The best part of the classes is you don’t have to do this in your home and we will clean up the mess!

All products are homemade, edible, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. All the Splat Messy Play franchisees are fully trained, DBS checked and insured.

Please see our Parent Information for classes at Eddie Catz.

Overview:

Splat Messy Play was established in 2009 by mum of four Debbie Soverall, who recognised the need for a fun, messy and creative experience that could be enjoyed by both parents and children.

MESSY PLAY ALLOWS CHILDREN TO BUILD, IMAGINE, EXPERIENCE, INVESTIGATE, EXPLORE, CREATE, OBSERVE, AND USE OTHER SENSES.

Messy Play is designed with children’s natural curiosity in mind. It encourages a positive approach to new experiences. There is no “right” way for children to do messy play. This builds self-confidence and self esteem. Through messy play children can develop, concentration, problem solving and plan. Children are given endless opportunities with a variety of materials to build their imagination and creativity. Through sensory experiences, they are able to respond to what they see, hear, feel, touch and smell. They will express their feelings and thoughts through colour, texture and shapes.
