First time to visit today, lovely pub with excellent staff. A very varied menu with excellent food.Will definitely visit again and recommend to our friends.

I took a group of 12 ladies today for lunch. Our first lunch since lockdown. We all thought our meals were excellent. They were hot, fresh and served in a courteous manner. Desserts all wonderful. Excellent value too.

The Black Horse was our wedding reception venue in September 2021 and it was perfect. Claire, Daniel and their fabulous team made so much effort to make our day amazing...from the delicious food to the service and decorations. They thought of everything and the day couldn't have gone any smoother. All of our guests had a blast and had nothing but good things to say about the pub. I will be forever grateful to Claire for organising and planning our special day. I would definitely say to anyone getting married in Foxton Church to think about having the reception at the pub. The guests loved how easy it was to cross the road to the reception and start relaxing and celebrating straight away. The setting is lovely and perfect countryside background for the photos. Nothing was compromised in any way, we had all the things you need for a traditional wedding, a stunning three course dinner, cake, speeches, garden games on the lawn and a disco in the evening. It was a perfect wedding!

Nice warm welcome was received gammon egg and chips was lovely as was the refreshing pint. very busy at lunch times but it does tend to calm down in the evenings when the majority of gongoozlers have returned home.
