What a Fantastic Week......

This week I have been busy setting up my new business and so have not ventured into town that much.

However it has been delightful to sit in my back garden on Friday evening and listen to the live bands playing at the Fuse.
I couldn't say if it was just weather but there has certainly been an amazing atmosphere in and around Lichfield these past two weeks.
Last week we had the wonderful market full of local traders, many who I know and who said they did a roaring days trade and loved every minute of it.
Driving pass the Bowling Green you could see many we're enjoying a nice bottle of something chilled. However it was heaving, and you do only have the view of cars whiz zing round the roundabout. I have found an amazing little find.........it's not new, in fact it's been there for years, however it recently under went a makeover and it boasts some of the most amazing views around........the place I am talking about is The School House in Weeford!
Not many know that firstly it now has a new trendy bar called Manley's as well as lunch time and evening specials.
Once known as the place to go for that special occasion, The School House is now an affordable eatery which has the most relaxed atmosphere as well as being delicate on the pocket. It's well worth a visit!
My other little find this week is Room to Inspire, I adore this shop and can always find what I am looking for, it hosts a variety of unusual and traditional gifts for any occasion. It also showcases all of the goods in such a way, that you feel you want to purchase everything for your home!
Lastly is anyone else finding it really difficult to walk pass the new Ruby Express Takeaway in town? Located where Loafers used to be it spills out the most gorgeous aromas of foods, plus they are always offering a special dish. Seeing as it is not located on my diet plan I am trying to resist for as long as I can, however my daughter informs me it is delicious.
Next week I am off to view some nurseries in Lichfield for my 9mth old. It is hard for parents choosing the right nursery and I think all mothers and fathers can feel a pang of guilt about returning back to work and leaving their children in the care of someone else, however more and more of us have to return to work in order to pay the bills so it becomes a must .
So I will let you all know how I get on and what is on offer from them all.
Keep buying local and supporting your local businesses, it's great to see Lichfield thriving.....
