Walking on Sunshine…….

Another reason I have been trying to stay busy is that my youngest has started nursery and I have to say I have really struggled with it, I think because he is the last!

So on my trips round down I have found that I have ventured out the other side as on one of the days I decided to walk to the Nursery. I live near Waitrose and the nursery is Humpty Dumpty’s which is up by Trent Valley, now I have some very valuable information in as far to say I can tell you that from my house to Humpty Dumpty’s it is 2miles and that means 2miles back, which I had not factored in when I thought of my great plan.

However what I will say is I actually really enjoyed the walk and I got to see things I wouldn’t normally as I would normally be in the car. I hadn’t realised that up by Trent Valley is a Barbers shop, I had always noticed the pet shop but not the Barbers. On further investigation they are actually a “proper” barbers and can use the shaving knife as well as cut extremely close with scissors and their rates are exceptional, so for any guys looking for a trim, my advice is it is well worth a visit and its easy FREE parking.

Going back to the nursery, it is such a personal thing and no matter what you read here now please do visit as many as you can if you are thinking of sending your little one to a nursery as we all have different wants and what suits one may not suit another.

My opinion of Humpty Dumpty’s has been exceptional I looked at 2 nurseries in Lichfield and if I am honest I thought I had made up my mind, it was only when a friend said that I should go along and view Humpty Dumpty’s that I thought about it. I had actually written it off as I thought it was going to be full of computers and too new in some ways. Wasn’t I in for a shock, on entering you are greeted by lots of colour, its clean tidy and has a feeling of warmth. You can hear all the children playing and all of the Staff said Hello, which was lovely.

What sold the place was the outside area, it is huge and the activities they have to offer were amazing. I honestly didn’t see one child upset the whole time we were there.

Lastly someone asked me the other day did I work and I replied only part time, it wasn’t till I got home that I realised that actually when you think about it parents fall into several roles a day!

Cleaner, cook, taxi, counsellor to friends, D.I.Y person, children’s entertainer, wife / girlfriend / husband / boyfriend, blogger .

Oh and then I fit in my part time work!!!!

Have a lovely week and remember please shop local……xx
