Lichfield District Council’s Countryside and Parks Conservation Group is calling for volunteers to join in at its next conservation event in Beacon Park, on Wednesday 1 February 2012.

Volunteers will spend the day clearing scrub and building footpaths through the park’s woodland.

The group will meet outside the Swinfen Broun Pavilion, in the middle of the park, at 10.30am. No skills are needed and volunteers will be given full training, but must be over 18 years of age.

If you want to come along, please contact Denice Deverall on 01543 308183 or email denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk, so we know how many people to expect on the day.
