Lichfield Guildhall Sunday 27th March

 

This truly impressive band playing Lichfield Guildhall on Sunday  27th March has its roots in the vibrant fusion of Birmingham Conservatoire, and in just three years have caused a major stir on the English and International Folk scene.

They are: well known fiddle player Joe Broughton, acclaimed Spanish fiddle player Paloma Trigas, Frank Moon on Guitar/Oud and Tom Chapman on Cajon drum and Percussion supplying the spell binding rhythm.

All have appeared with major bands from the Chieftains, Feast of Fiddles and Albion Band to Bellowhead.

With there varied musical backgrounds from World to Spanish they produce vibrant intoxicating music with a huge stage presence and a wonderful sense of humour.

 

Supporting them on the evening will be Lichfield’s own Wildfire Ensemble who are rapidly becoming favourites not only locally but on the Festival scene, with their lively exuberance exciting roots music.

 

Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said "This band made a great impact on their first appearance at the Guildhall add the Wildfire Folk ensemble and this will be a superb evening of joyous evening of music and humour"
