The UK’s biggest cutlery shop will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9-4pm and Saturday 10-4pm. Closed Thursday. And staff will be on site every day so that orders can be emailed or taken via telephone for either collection or delivery.

The shop, based on Britannia Way, Lichfield, is adhering to strict safety and welfare guidelines for both staff and customers.  There is a one-way route, social distancer markers throughout, a sanitiser station, screened till point and staff can only take card payments.

Sales of Arthur Price cutlery online and via a click and collect service at the factory shop since September have boomed with a 148% increase on this time last year. With more people working from home, lockdowns and more home cooking, sales recovered after an initial drop in March and April.

Simon Price, CEO of Arthur Price said: “We have adapted to the marketplace which is what you’d expect but the one thing that stands out for me is the increase in local custom. The team and I are thankful to all the people locally who have purchased from us, it means a lot. But it also shows great community spirit and I ask everyone to keep shopping local for whatever they need, keep our independent shops’ tills ringing.”

To celebrate re-opening there are lots of special offers which will change week-by-week as stocks last with updates on the Facebook page. At the moment, China Christmas mugs are down from £9.95 to £4.95. Warwick Presentation Boxes half price – 32 piece £199 down to £99 and 42 piece £255 down to £127.50. And there’s up to 75% silver-plated canteens. There is also a silverware clearance zone – three price ranges of £10, £20 and £30 - anything from napkin rings to candelabras and dishes and trays, all silver plated.

The Arthur Price team invites customers to browse in the shop or they can call or email their orders.  There is lots of free parking immediately outside and all purchases can be placed straight into people’s cars.
