Tricks and Treats this Halloween in Lichfield

Although this year Halloween is on a Monday, it doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate all that’s spooky and kooky!

Screamfest is back for 2016 and promises to be better and scarier than ever before!

There are 5 terrifying scare attractions this year that will send shivers down your spine, as well as other entertainment such as extreme sideshow performances and zombie paintball shoot out, as well as street entertainment.


New for 2016 is Love Hurts - pray you're not one of the rejected at Professor Heart's speed dating club! 

Learn all about Lichfield’s dark past by taking the Gruesome and Ghostly Tours.


You will get to hear many ghost stories as well as some disturbing tales about Lichfield’s past. See the Guildhall Cells where prisoners were keep before their terrible fate on the gallows, hear about the ghostly apparitions in the Cathedral, Erasmus Darwin House and many other locations across the city. 

If you want your children to stay entertained this October Half Term, then you definitely need to take them to JC Academy's Halloween Activity Camp.


Your children will love the many activities featured at the camp, such as arts & crafts, sports, games and much more! Be sure to book your child as a place, as this is always very popular!

Visit Midland Karting for some spectacular spooky saver deals!


On 29th October come down to the track for as much karting as you like from 6:30pm - 10pm. On either 29th or 30th October book a children's karting party and save loads! These deals are scarily good, so make sure not to pass this opportunity!

Children are welcome to take part in Beacon Park’s Halloween Puzzle Trail, where they will explore the park and follow the Halloween-themed puzzle trail. There are prizes to be won too!  

Erasmus Darwin House are playing host to a hair-raising Halloween Party that welcomes families to take part in their fun activities. Also to be enjoyed are ghoulish treats, delicious handmade cakes, as well as some games to take part in. 

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of H.G. Wells at St. Mary’s Church in Market Square. Hear stories about the author whose work still remains relevant and continues to be loved by many.

If you’re on the hunt for a good pumpkin this year, then look nowhere else but Packington Moor Farm Shop and Cafe.


“Packington’s Pumpkins” are home-grown on site and are perfect to decorate. While you’re visiting the farm shop, why not pick up some other Halloween inspired goodies in the farm shop?

Visit Manor Farm Fruits for their first ever Pumpkin Fest where you can enjoy some fun activities as well as get your hands on pumpkins and squashes which you can decorate to your liking. Running from 22nd - 30th October, there's plenty of time to visit!


Visit Three Spires Shopping Centre for free Halloween fun this October with crafts, facepainting and treasure hunts! Called "Pumpkin Patch", this is a fun Halloween-themed event for all to enjoy.

The National Memorial Arboretum have lots of spooky activities for kids during the October Half Term, inspired by tales from the trenches of World War I. They can enjoy crafts, creative writing and listen to fascinating storytelling, as well as enjoy the Arboretum's facilities. 

Lichfield's new tattoo studio Big Will's are inviting families to enjoy some fun Halloween activities. Activities to be enjoyed include: Face painting, Fake Tattoos, Treasure Hunts, Drawing Competition, Fancy Dress and more!
