Trekkers carry on Fund Raising
5th November 2013

Although we have completed our trek we are still celebrating the Hospice’s 30th year and are still fund raising to raise the final 13% of our £10,000 target.

We have had two events in the past week.  The first, a pamper day at home, had beauticians Hayley and Leanne and therapist Barbara providing half hour treatment sessions throughout the day while Debbie displayed and sold Aloe Vera products and David kept our guests fed and watered with tea, coffee and cake.  Thanks girls for all your hard work and for donating half your takings to the Hospice.

Thanks also to everyone who attended, those who were pampered and those who just came along for a chat and to look at our Vietnam photographs.

A total of £489 was raised from a combination of treatments, profit on aloe sales, sales of preserves, a raffle and donations.  The raffle prizes were kindly donated by Golunski Leather, Cathedral Chemdry and friends.

The second event was a stall at Price Waterhouse Cooper in Birmingham selling Aloe products.  A quiet day at first with a bit of a rush at the end adding another £34 to the Hospice fund from a percentage of aloe sale profits and a few donations, all of which get us ever closer to our £10K target.
