More safety tips to keep you safe this Christmas

In it's second week of top safety tips in the run up to Christmas, Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership is offering some simple advice on how to keep your valuables safe when on the move. 

Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership’s top tips to stay safe while you're out shopping ·      

Never leave any bags, including your handbag, in the shopping trolley while you shop
Keep your handbag fastened at all times and your purse out of sight at the bottom of the bag   
Try to pay using a debit card rather than carrying lots of cash, and don’t keep your wallet in your back pocket
Never tell anyone your pin number and take extra care when using a cashpoint or chip and pin
Remember to take your credit and debit receipts with you.
Beware of strangers approaching you for any reason.
Don’t leave valuables on the seat of your car and always put your shopping in the boot when driving.
Don't leave your house keys in your car and never leave your keys where they can be seen.
