Why not take a ride out to the New Farm Shop in Elmhurst this week and treat yourselves to some fresh local strawberries? Yummy!

You can be forgiven if you think we have turned back time and returned to the swinging sixties at the Lichfield Garrick this week. Wednesday 11th May you have Katy Setterfied as Dusty Springfield with friends in concert from 7.30pm. Then on Wednesday 12th May you have The Rockin’ Berries who will be sharing stories and anecdotes from their vivid and varied career.

2011 is the 10th anniversary of the public opening of the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas. Join them for a summer open evening to share their vision and learn about their exciting plans for the Arboretum to become a World Trade Centre.

Did you know that Qmin in Bird Street is the only Indian restaurant in Lichfield to have received 5 Stars from Ratemyplace. This is a partnership between Staffordshire local authorities to publish details of food safety inspections across the county. The system is based on a star rating which is calculated by taking into account how hygienic the premises are, whether they take into account recognised food hygiene practices and how much confidence the inspector has in the management to keep their premises up to standard. So why don’t you experience some of those 5 * this week, and tell them I sent you!
