They conquered Snowdon!

As colleagues & associates of Brookes Stepehns a firm of chartered accountants based in Lichfield, wanted to show their support for one of their employees, Amanda Cockle, who has bravely undergone treatment for breast cancer following the shock of her diagnosis last year at the age of just 33.

The Cockle’s Climbers put in months of planning and preparation for their Snowdon Challenge – all to raise money for a very special charity, Breast Friends of Sutton Coldfield, who have been chosen by Amanda in recognition of the invaluable support they have provided to her and thousands other local women.

The team members were a wide spread of ages and abilities and the Snowdon climb presented a very real challenge to the group. Donations have been very gratefully received by us, by the charity, and by those who benefit from their work.

Despite appalling weather conditions and torrential rain the whole team made it to the summit of mount Snowdon where they managed to share our elation with Amanda on facetime.

The climb was physically very tough, they got soaked and very cold, there was zero visibility from the top; but all along they were spurred on by the incredible support and generosity shown to them by everyone who has donated to Breast Friends via Cockles Climbers. It made every step worth it.

If you would like to support the team from Brookes Stephens you can right here through their JustGiving page.

Many congratulations must go to Cockle’s Climbers for their support of their colleague and to Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield for all the fantastic support they give to ladies just like Amanda.
