Emporium in association with Lichfield Festival presents their annual visual arts exhibition at Lichfield Cathedral.

The competition theme this year focused on America; a land of hopes and dreams, and extremes of terrain and temperature, of colour, creed, culture and colonisation.

Artists from around the country have interpreted and expressed this wide and very topical subject with an exciting variety of media from paint and photography to sculpture and printmaking.

The overall winner selected by an experienced judging panel receives prize money of £500 sponsored by Lichfield BID together with a two week solo exhibition at Emporium. The prize giving will take place in the Cathedral at the opening of the exhibition.

An addition prize - The People’s Choice has been introduced this year, sponsored by KeelysLLP. Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite piece and a prize of £200 will be awarded to the artist with most votes.

Ballot slips and boxes are available at both venues and votes can also be cast by emailing the gallery. Voting will close at midday Sunday 15th July and the winner announced at 3pm at the Lichfield Cathedral.

The exhibition will run from 7th - 15th July.
