In well over a decade Maskarade have captivated audiences nationwide with their diverse repertoire and innovative performing style. Encompassing the music of four centuries, Maskarade’s programmes exploit the possibilities of the single reed family to startling effect, including bass and Eb clarinets, basset horn or saxophones.

As recital artists, Maskarade have performed throughout the UK, appearing at the International Convention Centre, the National Portrait Gallery (as guest artists for an invited audience in honour of Sir Simon Rattle), in many National Trust venues, and on BBC radio.

In recent years Maskarade has undertaken a wide range of education and community projects under the auspices of Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now scheme, and currently gives concerts and workshops in special and mainstream schools, hospitals and care homes on behalf of ‘The Council for Music in Hospitals.’
