Business 1st raises money for good causes every year, and the group has chosen the We Love Lichfield Fund as its nominated charity for 2017.

So far Business 1st has raised £500 for the We Love Lichfield Fund this year, and the group presented a cheque to Simon Price, Patron of the charity at the Business 1st Visitor Day last Thursday (11th May).

Established in 2004, Business 1st is one of the longest established independent networking groups in Lichfield. It has over 30 business members who meet at Darnford Moors Golf Club from 7am-9am every Thursday to promote their companies. Run by members, for members, Business 1st not-for-profit status means any income generated is ploughed back into the group to benefit those who attend. The group’s success has resulted in over £1.5 million pounds of business being passed between its members each year for the last three years.

Current Chair of Business 1st, Sue Green says: “We were delighted to have Simon Price as the guest speaker at our Visitor Day to learn more about the We Love Lichfield charity and how it benefits local community and voluntary groups across the District.”

Simon Price, CEO of cutlery company Arthur Price and the patron of We Love Lichfield said: “I’d like to thank everyone for such a warm welcome at the Business 1st Visitor Day and for announcing We Love Lichfield as their 2017 charity of choice.  It’s great to have another organisation support us in our quest to help voluntary groups across the District.”
