Renowned as one of the most adaptive and adventurous bands to have come out of the Midlands, Quill have developed a unique musical style that has captured many varied influences, playing Celtic Fleetwood Mac-ish rock before the Corrs were invented.

It’s really not that often that a band can lay claim to a consistent, continuous gig sheet that goes back to the 70’s, adding new members along the way with a great skill set and eloquent musicianship, whilst developing in new and adventurous directions…but that is exactly what has happened with Quill.

Quill, who hit the stage as a seven piece, featuring Bev Bevan (The Move, ELO, Black Sabbath) on percussion, are bursting with fresh creativity. A Quill set takes you on a journey through a unexpectedly wide range of powerful story telling material. The songs are delivered with imagination and lyrical beauty, all shot through with the presence and ease that only real stage craft can bring. The artistry of guitar and violin harmonies is complimented by five vocal harmonies producing an exciting dynamic sound.

The Birmingham based folk/rock band will perform songs old and new, including tracks from their recent album, Brush With The Moon. Their 2018 Riding Rainbows Tour sees Quill return to one of their favourite venues, the Lichfield Garrick, on Friday 2nd March at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £22 and are available from the theatre’s box office on 01543 412121 or online from www.lichfieldgarrick.com
