Cast announced for Richard Rodgers Evening
The Lichfield Festival are excited to announce the cast for The Sound of his Music: A Celebration of Richard Rodgers at Lichfield Cathedral.
Joining Chethams Concert Orchestra for an evening of musical theatre classics will be a stellar cast drawn from the stages of West End theatres and world-famous opera houses.
The compere for the evening will be television star and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Russell Grant.
Joining him onstage will be Lisa Milne (English National Opera, Glyndebourne and The Metropolitan Opera), Katie Hall (Les Mis 25th Anniversary Concert, Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd), Francesca Jackson (Million Dollar Quartet, Rent) and Damian Thantrey (Royal Opera House, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opera North).
Directed by Lee Blakeley (LA Opera, San Francisco Opera Lyric Opera of Chicago).

Hayley Mills joins the cast of Pride and Prejudice Live!
Multi-time BAFTA and Golden Globe award-winning actress Hayley Mills has been announced as the replacement for (previously advertised) Juliet Stevenson at the Pride and Prejudice Live event in Lichfield Garrick Theatre on Friday 14th July.
The child star of classic films such as Pollyanna and Whistle Down the Wind, Hayley has enjoyed a successful stage and screen career spanning over 50 years.
FREE Festival tickets for Under 25's
Thanks to support from Arts Council England, the Lichfield Festival are able to offer a limited number of seats for Lichfield Festival events FREE of CHARGE to Under 25s.
These tickets are highly limited and available on a first come first served basis.
Register your details with the Festival by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, email address and a contact telephone number included, plus the age that you will be on 15th July 2017. Deadline for registration is Saturday 24th June at 6pm.
