My Experience at Pom’s

My partner and I were walking around Lichfield last Thursday, and in case you don’t remember, it was FREEZING!!

We tried to make our shopping trip around the city centre short so we didn’t have to endure the cold much longer.

When suggesting where to eat, I knew I had Pom’s Kitchen & Deli in mind. I had been in before for a drink (and even a job interview!) but never for food. So I insisted that’s where we go.

We sat up in a corner near the kitchen, hoping to absorb the heat from there. Fortunately for us, it was already warm in there.

Pom’s is definitely the kind of place you can just sit back and relax. It’s just cosy - especially good for this time of year.

We sat here!

While you’re there you can always admire the décor. There are lots of little things to notice in the restaurant too, from the pictures hung up, to the quotes and even the quirky little items that can be found in there above me were packets of marshmallows with ‘nakedmarshmallows’ written on them, which I found amusing.

I decided to have Pom’s big beer battered cod, which consists of beef dripping chips, proper mushy peas, tartare sauce, curry sauce & a pickled onion. Sound delicious? Well, it was! My partner had the classic battered fish deli sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Joey came with us too!

I remember at one point seeing a waiter taking over a hot chocolate, which looked heavenly. Maybe next time! At Pom’s you are very well fed. My stomach could not take in any more!

I know I’ll definitely be returning to Pom’s and I definitely want to bring friends and family along too!
