Local Kindness Rock Project supports Dementia Action Week
30th May 2023
... Comments

Hosting a kindness rock painting session at the care home. 34.5 million of us know someone living with dementia in the UK. This activity was not only fun and enjoyable, but also has therapeutic benefits for those with dementia, such as reducing anxiety and depression.

During the session, residents had the opportunity to unleash their creativity and express themselves through the colourful and inspiring art of rock painting. The kindness rocks will now be hidden in the Lichfield community for others to find and enjoy.

But that's not all! Grace Cares and The Spires Care Home have another exciting event lined up. During Care Home Open Week 30th June, from 3-5pm, Grace Cares will host a fundraising corporate afternoon tea. This event promises to be a delightful afternoon filled with scrumptious treats and entertainment, all for a great cause.

Grace Cares hopes to raise funds to continue providing their much-needed services to the community. The organisation collects and then sells pre-loved care equipment to those who need it at affordable prices and leave a better planet for future generations. They use the profits to support care workers, older people and their families and the Lichfield community.

Would you like to support? If you are a locally based business that wants to make a difference to the lives of the elderly and disabled in your community, join Grace Cares for their upcoming fundraising corporate afternoon tea. Be the change you want to see.

If you have any questions or would like to book a space (or two) please contact Grace Cares by email hello@grace-cares.com or call 01543 326819
