Local companies invited to share £250,000 business referral pot

A Staffordshire business group that is celebrating passing over a quarter of a million pounds in business in the last 6 months is inviting new companies to come and share the success.

Lichfield business group, Business 1st, is holding a Visitors Day on Thursday 17th November, for local businesses to come along and find out more about how networking over breakfast can increase business enquiries.

Since members of Business 1st started logging the value of business generated six months ago, over £250,000 of business has been passed within the group during that period.

Business 1st is an independent group that was launched in 2004 and currently has around 30 members.

Current Chair of Business 1st, Tracy Pound says: “We put the success of Business 1st down to the fact that it’s run by members for members. We run a rolling leadership team that ensures all members have a say in how the group is run, and the group’s not-for-profit status means any income is ploughed back into Business 1st to benefit those who attend.”

Over 50 businesses from various industries, trades and professions are expected to attend the event, which starts at 6.45am until approximately 8.30am on Thursday 17th November at Darnford Moors Golf Club, Darnford Lane, Lichfield, WS14 9JG.

Businesses who would like to come along to meet new contacts and promote their products and services need to register, by emailing visitors@business-1st.org or calling 01543 406131.
