It is 100 years since the Lions organisation started in Chicago and Lichfield Lions are celebrating this milestone by collecting a 100m of pound coins for charity during 2017. Every penny raised will go to charity – Lions members pay their own administration costs.
Launched at the Bower the target of 100m of pound coins has so far been supported by 29 local businesses who have sponsored a metre each.
Despite the deluge on Bower day the Lions, aided by volunteers from the 7th Lichfield Scout Group, thet have so far raised 40 metres of coins towards our goal. Thanks to all who donated on the day!
