Chris Biscoe Profiles Quartet –Lichfield Guildhall Sunday 27th February
This all star quartet comprises four of Britain’s finest jazz musicians they are Chris Biscoe and Tony Kofi saxophones both BBC double award winners with stunning bass player Larry Bartley and powerful drummer Stu Butterfield all have played with top British and visiting jazz stars.
They have come together to profile the musical legacies of extraordinary bassist composer Charles Mingus and reeds virtuoso Eric Dolphy plus a touch of Monk and Fats Waller !!
