Lichfield Cathedral Tower Tours are back!

From Monday 21st April 2014 (Easter Monday), Lichfield Cathedral will be re-opening their infamous Tower Tours where you can climb the steep steps of the Central Tower to check out the amazing views of the City and beyond.

Promising a great day out for the whole family, you will be bowled over by the Cathedral architecture as you make your ascent and will be excited by the interactive "Tower Education Zone" located high above the floor of the Cathedral giving you the chance to learn about the design, architecture and history of this beautiful building.

Activity tables and displays will help children and adults to identify fascinating and sometimes hidden aspects of the Cathedral building and its life.

Tower Tours lasts approximately one and a half hours and will take place every Saturday from 26th April to 25th October at 10:00am, 12:00pm and 14:00pm.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at adults £6.50 and a family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children is £20.00. Ticket price also includes a free tea or coffee at Chapters Cafe in the Close plus a 10% discount on purchases at the Cathedral Shop on the day of the Tour**

Important information: Due to the nature of theTour, it is only suitable for adults and children aged 8 years old and over, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. It is important to note that you should only participate in this Tour if you are in good health and are not suffering from any medical conditions (including pregnancy). The Tower Tour passes through restricted and narrow spaces, baggage must be left at ground level and sensible footwear must be worn. You will be asked to complete a disclaimer form by your Tour Leader in advance of your climb.
