On Monday night we had the pleasure of joining friends at the Ruby Chinese Restaurant Charity evening, to raise funds for the Manchester Emergency Fund.

Owners Tommy & Norreena Ho were deeply moved by the events of that evening having grandchildren of the same age as some of the victims involved.

The evening started with words spoken by their eight year old granddaughter, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.

We were royally treated in true Chinese New Year style with a glorious Chinese buffet meal, with, karaoke, a fabulous table magician who had us all baffled and an auction and raffle to raise even more money.

The evening was a huge success and raised £3092 for the Manchester Emergency Fund.

It was wonderful to be part of such an evening made possible by the wonderful generosity of a local Lichfield business.

Tommy and the team at the Ruby Chinese, you are one of thebest, thank you.
