People are offered the chance to receive the cross of ash as a token of repentance, to be prayed for and to be given a prayer card.
Canon Pat Hawkins will be offering this ministry in Dam Street over the lunch period on Ash Wednesday from 12 until 2pm.
Also, during Lent the 12.30 Holy Eucharist at the High Altar on Fridays will be followed by a light lunch and time of reflection.

Proceeds from the lunch (£5.00 per person, payable on the day) will support the work of Christian Aid.

On Tuesdays in Lent at 6.30pm, there will be an opportunity in the silence of the Cathedral to reflect and pray.
