Spring Fair & Food Festival 

 

To celebrate the start of spring and all the beautiful weather we’ve been having Erasmus Darwin House are holding a Spring Fair & Food Festival over the weekend of 21st & 22nd of May. There will be stalls all around the House – both inside and out – selling local produce of all varieties.

 

The museum will be free to enter for the whole of the weekend and, alongside the stalls, there will also be fun activities for the family including Costume Corner, Georgian Games and the usual Erasmouse hunt – you can even have your photo taken in the Georgian sedan chair! Tours of the cellars will be running over the weekend at 1, 2 and 3pm and should be booked prior to the event as space is limited. Tickets cost £1.50 each and can be bought from reception or booked over the phone. If that wasn’t enough, you can enjoy Pimms and strawberries in the beautiful Herb Garden or a cup of tea in the Georgian tearoom.

Lichfield Greenhill Bower

Greenhill Bower is a festival based on the ancient tradition of the Court of Arraye. The festival includes the traditional procession and crowning of the Bower Queen at Lichfield Guildhall, A large funfair and masses of family entertainment in Beacon Park.

 

Procession starts 11.45am. from Cherry Orchard. Bower Queen Crowning, at Midday outside the Guildhall. Family fun in the park from 11.00am
